Jim Hobbs

J. Edgar and Louise S. Monroe Library - Loyola University New Orleans

I work with computerized abstracting, indexing and full-text services used by students and faculty for research. I also provide research assistance at our Learning Commons desk and do some teaching. I am the liaison to these departments: Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.

My current research project: Computerized discography of commercially-released Cajun and zydeco music. You can search it now.
This project is supported by generous grants from the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation and by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
